The Roadblock
I joined a project where the design system was already built and the work was team-based — which was very different from what I was used to. I normally lead full design projects on my own, including building custom systems from scratch. Here, I had to follow clear guidelines, respect existing constraints, and still make sure the user stays at the center.

How it paid off
Adapting to the design system didn’t take long because it was already well-structured. One of our main tasks was moving screens from the old designs to the new system — which took time, but helped me understand the product in depth and improve it with the team. In addition to the app, I also worked on the website. Since web design is one of my strengths, this part felt more like nostalgia than a challenge.
